The current NTE characters page tracks 17 launch-window entries, which is enough to split the roster into meaningful groups instead of treating every unit the same. Right now the fastest way to read NTE characters is by asking three questions first: is the character limited, is the character available from the Standard Board, and can the character be obtained for free or through early progression.

That framing matters because most players do not search NTE characters just to see names. They are usually trying to decide who is worth learning first, who might affect reroll or selector choices, and which units are safe to build before spending premium currency. This page is strongest when it answers those account-planning questions directly.

When comparing NTE characters, do not stop at rarity or banner label. The better question is whether the character solves a real account problem for you. A limited S-Class can still be the wrong first investment if your early roster lacks stability, if your selector direction is unclear, or if the character asks for a heavier build commitment than your account can currently support.

The best way to read NTE characters is to stack four lenses together: how you get the character, what kind of team role the character is likely to fill, how difficult the build path looks from public information, and whether the character is more valuable for reroll, F2P progression, or long-term standard planning. That is the difference between simply browsing names and actually making a better decision.
